Did Beyonce and her long time manager and father, Matthew Knowles part ways? Who will step in as Beyonce's new manager? Beyonce's publicist released a statement Monday that Matthew Knowles will no longer manage his superstar daughter Beyonce's career.
He has always been a huge factor in her career. His role is critical because he strategically placed his daughter on a platform to receive international superstar status.
Beyonce and Matthew have been a team since her teacher in grade school noticed that Beyonce was special and had a gift . Beyonce was a shy kid that is until she was showcased on a stage where she always felt free to break away from her normal self. Matthew Knowles is well known for introducing us to Destiny's Child. The hottest female group of all time. With his leadership and guidance we grew to love the girl from Houston, Texas.
During her years as a public figure he has been responsible for some of her most lucrative deals. For instance, her movies, endorsements, and record deals just to name a few. Let's not fail to mention the fashion deals and modeling contracts that Beyonce has received under his management. Beyonce released a heart felt statement about her father ensuring that the life learned lessons he has taught her will serve as the stepping stone for her future.
"I am grateful for everything he has taught me. I grew up watching both he and my mother manage and own their own businesses. They were hardworking entrepreneurs and I will continue to follow in their footsteps."
Beyonce also mentioned that her relationship with her father is beyond business. "He is my father for life and I love my dad dearly. I am grateful for everything he has taught me," Beyonce said.
Matthew and Beyonce insist that the departure along with the decision to discontinue their professional relationship was mutual. Mr. Knowles has released his very own statement about the departure.
"Business is business and family is family. I love my daughter and am very proud of who she is and all that she has achieved. I look forward to her continued great success," he said.
Don't count Mr. Knowles out just yet! He will still work on certain projects; his focus will mainly consist of his label and the music that is released through the label. He stated that Music World Entertainment is his main concern.
"Currently, I am very focused on the tremendous investment that our record label has made in the gospel/inspirational genre of music and on our supremely talented roster of artists, including Trin-i-tee 5:7, Brian Courtney Wilson, Juanita Bynum, Micah Stampley, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Pastor Rudy and others."
Music World will continue its partnership with Sony, Destiny’s Child, and UK female group From Above, as well as management. We will also continue to develop the Music World family of labels: Music World Country/Compadre, Music World Kids and Music World Music. In Music World’s repositioning it will not continue its label/management role with Columbia/Sony artist Tiffany Evans.
It wasn't too long ago when former Destiny's Child members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams departed ways with the man that made them famous. Do you think this is the best move for Beyonce, considering her success she has had while under her father's management?
