TEXAS FOOTBALL PLAYER COLLAPSE AND DIES DURING FRIDAY NIGHT'S GAME

West Orange Quarterback Reggie Garrett collapsed and  died on the sidelines on Friday, Sept. 17 during the game.  The tragedy occurred, after Garrett threw his second touchdown pass on Friday night's game.  According to
it was  the second quarter of Friday's game against the Jasper Bulldogs, Garrett threw his second touchdown pass of the game, then jogged off the field, gave his offensive coordinator Toby Foreman a low five of congratulations and then fell to his knees. He appeared unresponsive as paramedics rushed him out of the stadium to Memorial Hermann Baptist-Orange Hospital  and  pronounced dead at 9:30 PM. Football season has taken a turn in the past few years. Several players on the high school, as well, as the collegiate level have died suddenly on the field after or during a game.  Many people from all over have been shaken by the death of this star athlete. Crockett High School Junior and star quarterback, C.J. Lockhart, expressed his disbelief of the tragedy. "He and I became really close at University of Houston football camp this past summer; he was my roommate. I just can't believe it  This is a tragic ending for a shining star and  I am praying for his entire team, coaches, and most of all his family."
